Participants are exposed to a curriculum that defines advocacy, provides insights and best practices on choosing the best school for their children, teaches them how to actively engage school leaders and policy makers, and understand how to advocate on behalf of your child and community. Participants are expected to perform direct engagement activities during their matriculation in the Academy. 

*The Powerful Moms Movement is an initiative of the Academy focused specifically on Mothers. We understand the stress that mothers endure just in their everyday lives when it comes to raising their children and navigating their work/life balance. The Powerful Moms Movement will provide mothers the opportunity to connect with other mom facing similar obstacles and build a community of support as they navigate this educational space. The initiative will also focus on teaching and providing opportunities for self-care and wellness.
